We are actively seeking an organized, detail-oriented, team-first Receptionist / Accounts Payable Clerk to join us, providing exceptional support for our office team. This position is permanent full-time, with hours Mon-Fri, 8:00am – 4:30pm working out of our Pitt Meadows office.

The ideal candidate will have:
– Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and work in a team environment, with the initiative to take on tasks and offer suggestions on improvements.
– Strong organizational skills, and ability to manage time effectively
– Polite telephone manner
– Proficiency with Outlook, and ability to learn an accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics)
– Ability to problem-solve effectively
– 2-3 years of office experience is an asset
– Previous experience in the forestry industry is an asset
About the role:
Working as a member of the administration team, Delta Cedar Specialties is looking for a candidate that thrives in a frontline role. The Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for receiving and filtering calls to the correct team member, as well as managing with accounts payable entries. Some of the key functions of the role include, but are not limited to:
– Taking and forwarding calls to team members, based on the callers requirements.
– Receiving and printing of all incoming invoices for 2 companies, and obtaining proper approvals prior to entering
– Entering all accounts payable invoices into an accounting software with accuracy
– Preparing mail outs of cheques
– Arranging couriers
– Maintaining filing system for invoices
– Coordinating mail pick up and drop off to post office; and
– Maintain office supply stock

Salary: $45,000 – $50,000/year, Dependent on experience
